Tottenham’s best and worst players in Man Utd draw

FROM TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR STADIUM – Godspeed to any person responsible for trying to predict patterns from Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.

Spurs have fallen into complete disarray of late but managed to compartmentalise their recent discretions to earn a credible come-from-behind 2-2 draw at home to Manchester United on Thursday night.

After Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford fired the Red Devils into a two-goal lead heading into half-time, interim manager Ryan Mason managed to get quite the tune out of his after the break.

Pedro Porro pulled one back for Tottenham and Son Heung-min equalised late on as Tottenham took a well-earned point.

Here were their best and worst performers on the night, courtesy of 90min’s player ratings.

Harry Kane: 8/10

Over the last couple of years, Kane has diversified his game and begun dropping even deeper to try and dictate attacks.

This season, he’s had to return to shouldering the scoring burden for the most part, but came alive on Thursday with a dominant display.

Kane was the catalyst behind Tottenham’s comeback with his fingerprints all over every meaningful attack they carved out. Once Dejan Kulusevski and Arnaut Danjuma came off the bench, Spurs were able to attack like a fleet of in-sync airships.

He didn’t find the net himself, but his assist for Son’s equaliser was put on a plate for the South Korean.

Eric Dier: 4/10

What makes this latest Dier display special is he was actually a liability at both ends for once.

The England defender allowed Rashford to skip past him for Man Utd’s second at the end of a half where Spurs just sat off their visitors and showed them way too much respect.

Before Son equalised, Dier had a magnificent chance to do so himself, rising high to meet an Ivan Perisic cross, but heading wide from close range when there was no Man Utd player within a five-mile radius.
