Bill Belichick is still chasing the all-time wins records for NFL coaches. He’s also apparently on the hot seat.
Belichick is coming off one of his worst two-game stretches as New England Patriots head coach, seeing his team outscored 72-3 over the last eight quarters. Couple this with everything that has gone down in the post-Tom Brady era, and you have an owner in Robert Kraft who is not only seemingly losing patience with his legendary coach, but already might have a successor in mind. “Kraft has spoken about his regard for Patriots defensive coordinator Jerod Mayo as a head coach prospect. And there are plenty of people around the league who think Mayo is in line to be Belichick’s successor.” If things don’t turn around in a hurry in Foxborough, could we see the end of an era at season’s end? Stay tuned.
Which brings us to today’s quiz of the day. No matter who eventually replaces Belichick in New England, he will almost certainly never break his franchise record for wins. So with that in mind, how many of the coaching wins leaders for every NFL franchise can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
