The retailer was a class killer — carrying a wide array of linens and residential items.
The inventory value soared as the corporate continued to knock it out of the park.
However then, Mattress Bathtub & Past began going through heavy competitors, and income slumped.
In the present day, it’s a shadow of its former self.
I wished to grasp why some retailers thrive, whereas others exit of enterprise.
That’s why I sat down with Paco Underhill, creator of Why We Purchase: The Science of Buying.
