Mali military opens an investigation into deaths of civilians blamed on troopers

BAMAKO, Mali — Mali’s military mentioned it is investigating troopers who had been accused by separatist Tuareg rebels of killing no less than 24 civilians earlier this week, in a uncommon probe of human rights abuses for the reason that army took energy in 2020.
