LETTER: Social grants shouldn’t affect voters’ decisions

Relating to your version on Friday, Could 17: “Social grants won’t win over voters within the elections, research exhibits”

It’s gratifying to see that many, not less than half, of the recipients mentioned they won’t vote for the governing social gathering. It’s attention-grabbing as a result of the governing social gathering has been desperately attempting to ship a message on the market that the social grants come from them and never from authorities.

This message has been repeated each single election. At the very least and finally the folks have realised that the federal government pays the social grant and never any political social gathering.

It’s disingenuous to attempt to recommend in any other case. The truth is, lots of the political events have promised to extend the social grants as they don’t imagine the grants that do exist are ample.

The reality of the matter is that the grants are pitiful, and though they put an unlimited stress on authorities, this stress is one thing that authorities must tolerate till extra jobs may be created within the personal sector.

Social grants shouldn’t in any manner affect voters at this level. The fact is that the subsequent authorities coming into the governing seat has loads of work to do to make sure that the disastrous 40% unemployment is rotated. It could actually’t be enterprise as traditional.
