Harry Norman, REALTORS®, the premier luxury real estate firm in Atlanta and North Georgia, was recently recognized at the Georgia Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) award ceremony for the interior design of one of its office spaces. Last month, the Woodstock office, located in North Georgia, received Silver in the 2022 Design Excellence Awards for commercial spaces under 10,000 square feet.
“The office design is modern, relevant, and reflects who we are as a brand,” said Dawn Motter, the Vice President and Managing Broker of the Woodstock office location. “One of our favorite aspects of the design is our multi-purpose meeting room. It is flooded with natural light from the glass roll-up door that can seasonally be opened to let fresh air in.”
The office space, designed by Alejandra Dunphy of AD Design Studios, is located in downtown Woodstock near the railroad tracks. “We wanted to create a sense of place, connecting the brand to the local nuances of Woodstock,” shares Dunphy. “The city history, surroundings, and close location to the railroads were some of our main inspirations for the project. For example, the custom-designed reception desk is a mix of industrial and contemporary design, incorporating reclaimed railroad beams and a light-up quartz front panel. The host bar behind the reception desk features shelving that resembles brass train luggage racks.” Dunphy used a color palette of blues, grays, and browns mixed with black metals and brass accents and paired it with high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows to bring in natural light.
