Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the fell 0.03%, while the index lost 0.19%, and the index lost 0.06%.
The best performers of the session on the were BASF SE NA O.N. (ETR:), which rose 1.67% or 0.87 points to trade at 53.11 at the close. Meanwhile, Covestro AG (ETR:) added 1.14% or 0.48 points to end at 42.52 and Volkswagen AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) was up 1.13% or 1.48 points to 132.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Airbus Group SE (ETR:), which fell 2.24% or 2.82 points to trade at 122.92 at the close. Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (ETR:) declined 2.09% or 0.25 points to end at 11.63 and MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (ETR:) was down 1.92% or 4.50 points to 229.50.
The top performers on the MDAX were Gerresheimer AG (ETR:) which rose 2.72% to 77.45, Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which was up 2.49% to settle at 18.92 and Evonik Industries AG (ETR:) which gained 1.95% to close at 20.40.
The worst performers were ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:) which was down 3.73% to 15.50 in late trade, Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:) which lost 3.51% to settle at 10.98 and Deutsche Lufthansa AG (ETR:) which was down 1.98% to 9.54 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 2.49% to 18.92, Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) which was up 1.74% to settle at 18.40 and Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:) which gained 1.38% to close at 51.36.
The worst performers were SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which was down 4.05% to 75.80 in late trade, ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:) which lost 3.73% to settle at 15.50 and Nagarro SE (ETR:) which was down 2.05% to 124.40 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 374 to 304 and 79 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.01% or 0.10 to $1,850.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 1.14% or 0.87 to hit $77.42 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 1.27% or 1.05 to trade at $84.05 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.07% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.89.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 103.78.
