GDP in the Euro Area expanded 0.10% in Q4 2022 over the previous quarter, in line with market expectations.
This compares to Q3 2022 GDP growth of 0.30%.
The figure is a measure of the change in the inflation-adjusted value of all goods and services produced by the economy, where actual greater than forecast is good for the currency.
The Euro Area economy expanded 1.9% Y/Y in Q4, the least since the contractions in 2021, and matching the initial estimate.
Employment in the Euro Area increased by 0.40% in December of 2022.
