Is there love already in the air for Taylor Swift following her breakup with Joe Alwyn?
By now you’ve most likely heard that news broke over the weekend that the 33-year-old singer and the 32-year-old actor called it quits after six years of dating. According to Entertainment Tonight on Saturday, the former couple amicably ended their relationship a few weeks ago. As for the reason for their split? An insider shared that “the relationship had just run its course,” and “it’s why [Alwyn] hasn’t been spotted at any shows” for the Eras Tour.
Neither Joe nor Taylor has spoken out about the breakup report yet. However, People later shared that a source close to the two confirmed they are broken up. The songstress also seemed to be dropping hints about their split during her show at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on March 31.

As we previously reported, Taylor shockingly switched out her song Invisible String, which is about two soulmates, for her track The 1, which basically talks about a lost love. Since the breakup song made its debut, Taylor has continued playing it during the Folklore section of the show ever since! Considering the musician is known for dropping easter eggs for her fans through her music, there was a strong chance she made the change to the setlist in light of her breakup with Joe!
Nevertheless, the breakup news no doubt came as a surprise to Swifties as ET reported a few months ago that Taylor and Joe are “doing great” and their “relationship is super strong.” Meanwhile, another insider shared with People that the Conversations with Friends star would be traveling with Taylor whenever he could and planned to be at some of her concerts:
“Joe will travel with her when he can. They are great together. Joe is super supportive of her career.”
While fans have been heartbroken over the situation, it doesn’t mean Taylor is letting the breakup get her down! In fact, there is a chance she has already moved on! Yeah, we’re not joking. A new rumor is already circulating on the internet that the Enchanted artist is seeing someone new!
The dating speculation started after the celebrity gossip Instagram account DeuxMoi shared a post about the breakup on Saturday, noting that “I was told by a very insider source on Tuesday it wasn’t true but IDK.” Ch-ch-check it out (below):
But then, Miz DeuxMoi posted a tip from an anonymous source who responded to the initial post about the split and said that Taylor was with someone “older” and “lowkey”:
“It’s true! I have on good authority she’s seeing someone new. Older and bit more lowkey.”

It’s hard to imagine there is someone more low-key than Joe, considering he and Taylor kept a large part of their relationship super private for years!
Obviously, everyone should take this blind item with a grain of salt. This is complete speculation since, as we mentioned before, neither Taylor, Joe, nor their reps have spoken out about the split or if she’s seeing someone else now. But good for her, if it is true! There is nothing wrong with having some fun after a breakup!
