Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives came to the rescue to vote against a government shutdown, keeping the government open for at least 45 days.
What the Democrats did was to show their love for this nation and their recognition that as public servants, their duty is to protect this nation and not to serve their own personal and political interests, like former President Donald Trump and extreme far-right politicians like Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga.
Back in the 1970s, Telly Savalas played the role of detective “Kojak” on TV, and his favorite saying was “Who loves you baby?” Remember next year when it comes time to vote that it is Democrats who love this nation, who protect the interests of its citizens and not their own extreme partisan ideology.
