EXCLUSIVE: Oscar winner Youn Yuh-jung (Minari, Pachinko) has been tapped as a lead reverse Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, Charles Melton and Cailee Spaeny in Season 2 of Netflix‘s anthology collection Beef, from creator, govt producer and showrunner Lee Sung Jin and A24.
Within the 8-episode new installment, a younger couple (Spaeny, Melton) witnesses an alarming battle between their boss (Isaac) and his spouse (Mulligan), triggering chess strikes of favors and coercion within the elitist world of a rustic membership and its Korean billionaire proprietor (Youn).
For Youn, this marks a reunion with Netflix and A24. Veteran Korean actress’ first American collection was Netflix’s Sense8, by which she had a small function. Youn’s Hollywood debut was in A24’s Minari, which earned her an Oscar, amongst different main awards.
