Stormwater management does not end with the completion of construction. According to the city of Jacksonville, it is the duty of the property owner to continually maintain “all on-site stormwater control facilities and all open space areas,” which can be a daunting task. It is easy to spot a problem once it is serious and will cost thousands of dollars to repair, but the key is to both prevent and identify issues before they become costly.
