Kane attended the University of Saskatchewan, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Physics & Astronomy, according to his LinkedIn. He graduated in 2019.

Kane was a law student at the University of Saskatchewan at the time of when he played Survivor. After filming in Fiji, he graduated from the College of Law with a juris doctor degree. Kane was also the Law Student Association VP of Student Wellness & VP of Administration in law school, according to his LinkedIn.
He has a girlfriend.
Kane has been dating his girlfriend Kat since at least 2016, his Instagram reveals. He told Parade magazine that Kat told him to “have fun and be yourself” before Survivor, and he’s stuck to that advice so far.
He’s a big ‘Survivor’ fan.
“I started watching Survivor basically when I started watching TV,” Kane said in his Parade interview. “As a kid, my grandma and my brother would always watch it with me. So my grandma kind of got me into it. And then, even after she passed away, me and my brother and I continued to watch it together. Even after he moved away, it was something that we would stay connected to.”
