I just read this Bloomberg article about how the amount of investment dollars pouring into China have been understated due to the existence of offshore vehicles. I’d like to understand the implications of this if the US-China spat worsens. Do shareholders have the same rights when owning these subsidiaries as they would holding the company itself?
