Moving to Las Vegas near Ann Road at U.S. 95 in 1993, we were the end of town. Now, we are almost the center of town.
Of course with growth, we have seen an increase in crime in our community. All I hear about on apps such as Nextdoor is how bad the city has become, how terrible the new residents are, how bad the city will become with pro sport teams starting or relocating here.
I find it ironic, with the at-home Stanley Cup victory this month that saw of over 19,000 fans in attendance at in T-Mobile Arena and thousands at the watch party in Toshiba Plaza, that I did not hear of any riots, stores looted, casinos invaded, cars turned over or set on fire.
Our Golden Knights fans enjoyed the Stanley Cup victory and displayed their pride for their team and city. Viva Las Vegas, and welcome to your new home.
