Jack Dorsey provided reward and encouragement for Elon Musk after the Tesla CEO bought Twitter in a $44 billion deal, saying he trusts the corporate in his fingers and that he’ll ‘take it again’ from Wall Road.
Dorsey outlined his views on the acquisition in a prolonged Twitter thread on Monday evening, stating that whereas the platform ideally shouldn’t be owned by a single particular person, it’s nonetheless an organization and Musk “is the singular answer I belief” to maintain it afloat.

He went on to emphasize the necessity to “defend” Twitter, calling it “the closest factor now we have to a world consciousness,” and mentioned he regrets that it’s now “owned by Wall Road and the advert mannequin.”
“Taking it again from Wall Road is the proper first step,” Dorsey continued, voicing hopes that with Musk on the helm, “Twitter will proceed to serve the general public dialog.”
The Tesla CEO first pitched his takeover bid for Twitter earlier this month, shortly after shopping for a 9.2% share of the corporate on April 4. In announcing the deal on Monday afternoon, Musk dubbed Twitter the “digital city sq.” and vowed to keep up “free speech” on the positioning.
Dorsey stepped down as Twitter’s chief govt final November after main the corporate since its founding in 2006, tapping CTO Parag Agrawal to take his place.
