Timothée Chalamet reveals Leonardo DiCaprio’s career advice

If there’s one piece of advice one can get from Leonardo DiCaprio, it’s this: Once she hits 26, ditch her. But he went a bit further with Timothée Chalamet when they met in 2018.

In a new interview with British Vogue, Timothée Chalamet reflected on life and career guidance he got from DiCaprio: “No hard drugs and no superhero movies.”

OK, Leo, then explain how he’s possibly going to get the money and the girls and the yacht and the fame. Oh…By doing exactly what he’s doing already? Fair enough!

Timothée Chalamet may be at just the right point in his career from a veteran like Leonardo DiCaprio. (Yes, that sounds weird calling Leo such a thing, but he’s been in the spotlight as both an actor and a celebrity for 30 years now.) Chalamet has been on a roll since his breakthrough in Luca Guadagnino’s Call Me By Your Name, which earned him an Oscar nod, working for the likes of Greta Gerwig, Woody Allen and Wes Anderson. With such stardom and high-profile movie roles, pressures will undoubtedly build. But if Timothée Chalamet can take Leo’s advice, why couldn’t he have a long-lasting career? Maybe he’ll really switch it up and only date women over 25.

Timothée Chalamet will next star in cannibal love story Bones and All for Guadagnino. Also on the docket are Dune: Part Two and musical Wonka, which he described as “so sincere, it’s so joyous.” Not in production is Heat 2, despite Al Pacino choosing him as his successor.

Chalamet, as advised by DiCaprio, still has not played a superhero. But we can see him as a competent Plastic Man…

What do you think of Leonardo DiCaprio’s life and career advice to Timothée Chalamet? Do you think Chalamet will have a DiCaprio-level career?
