The latest scandal to involve the Trump presidency is the rumored selling of pardons by Rudy Giuliani, who was offering get-out-of-jail passes for as much as $2 million each.
That was just one item in a long list of attractive souvenirs being sold by our disgraced former leader, along with MAGA hats, T-shirts, signed copies of his ghost-written best seller, “The Art of the Deal” and, of course, worthless diplomas from Trump University.
In retrospect, it seems that the Trump years in the White House are more akin to a gigantic rummage sale than anything of historical importance. After all, if everything has a price tag, what has any real value?
Surely, not one’s integrity.
