And just like that, Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are back in the Super Bowl. It’s already the fourth time in his seven-year career that Mahomes will be playing in the Super Bowl, and this year’s run might be his most impressive. Whether it was putting Miami out to pasture in the modern-day Ice Bowl or vanquishing both Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson-led teams on the road, the two-time MVP showed why he already has a strong case for GOAT status. Of course, Kyle Shanahan and the San Francisco 49ers will certainly not be pushovers in Super Bowl LVIII, but if the Chiefs once again come out victorious, then the comparisons to Tom Brady will no longer seem that far-fetched or premature.
