For the last five seasons, Bryce Harper has made Philadelphia his home, not only winning an MVP as a member of the Phillies, but also embracing the city and its culture at large. Recently, when discussing Philly’s notoriously fickle fan base, he went even further with his praise. “Everybody talks about it, right? ‘Oh, it’s one of the hardest places to play; free agents don’t want to come here ’cause it’s hard,'” Harper said. “But they just don’t understand. They don’t get it.” Harper then made a statement that will perk up the ears of Washington Nationals fans. “I don’t want to play anywhere else; I wish I started my career here.”
Which brings us to today’s quiz of the day. Harper is not only the most recent Phillies player to win an MVP Award, but he’s the most recent Nationals player to do so as well. So with that in mind, how many of the last players from every MLB franchise to win an MVP Award can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
