Last week, Saquon Barkley made it known that he was upset that he and the New York Giants front office were unable to come to an agreement on a long-term extension. Now it is Josh Jacobs’s turn. Jacobs is coming off a career year in which he led the league in both rushing yards and yards from scrimmage, but that still was not enough for him to get an extension. Instead, he was franchise-tagged — so Jacobs made the decision to leave training camp, reportedly telling those around him that he was not planning on returning any time soon. It’s the latest salvo by RBs who are clearly not happy about the lack of financial compensation coming their way in the modern NFL. It’s also hard to imagine either side blinking first, meaning we could see some of the best offensive players in the league miss meaningful time if things don’t change in the not-too-distant future.
Which brings us to today’s quiz of the day. How many of the players to last tally 1,000 or more rushing yards in a season, like Jacobs in 2022, for every NFL franchise can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
