Thanks for the Sept. 20 editorial “How politicians and Gen Z can break the cycle of low youth voter turnout.”
So many older voters blame Gen Z for his or her electoral frustration and prescribe some model of telling them they need to perceive their obligation to vote. It was refreshing to see this editorial encourage politicians to hearken to younger voters and genuinely reply to their issues.
I want that was taking place now as an alternative of the flurries of adverts and mailers attacking ranked-choice voting, which younger voters are inclined to help.
As an alternative of telling younger voters they will’t perceive ranked-choice voting, probably hearken to youthful voters who need new processes to realize higher outcomes that handle the problems they care about.
