The Sixteenth Finance Fee has constituted an advisory council with 5 members. The members of the council are DK Srivastava, Neelkanth Mishra, Poonam Gupta, Pranjul Bhandari and Rahul Bajoria
Poonam Gupta could be the convenor of the council, a Finance Ministry assertion stated.
The function and capabilities of the advisory council might be to advise the fee on any of the Phrases of Reference (ToR) or associated topics that could be of relevance.
The advisory council can even help within the preparation of papers, or analysis, and to watch or assess research commissioned by the fee, thereby enhancing the fee’s understanding of the problems in its ToR.
This panel can even assist broaden the fee’s ambit and understanding by searching for the perfect nationwide and worldwide practices on issues pertaining to fiscal devolution and enhancing the standard, attain, and enforcement of its suggestions.
