The Shiba Inu ecosystem is still a hive of activity, with fresh initiatives and updates appearing out of nowhere. The latest of these is the Shiba Inu team has provided a new update involving its Shib Name Service (SNS) initiative.
Shiba Inu Team Member Shares Latest Update
Shiba Inu marketing lead and team member Lucie recently took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the latest update with the Shib community. The lead marketer’s post was accompanied by D3 Global’s announcement regarding the fresh update.
Shiba Inu recently partnered with D3 Global to establish a decentralized internet top-level domain (TLD) for its users. The partnership seeks to secure the TLD name “.shib.”
D3 provided a link to a platform where owners of Shiba Inus can register for early access and reserve their own .shib names which have the potential to be resolved through worldwide domain name systems (DNS).
The announcement advised the ShibArmy to get ready to purchase a SHIB Name Token in order to obtain their official, interoperable digital identity.

In order to gain early access to the update, Shiba Inu holders must pre-register on the D3 platform. When you get to the website, you will be required to enter your email address and click the “Save Your Spot” option.
Furthermore, the platform will then send a link to your email address so you can verify and log in. However, the link is set to expire after 30 minutes.
With the link sent to your email, you will be able to search for available .shib names. Next, to complete the process, select the option to “Remind me when Early Access begins” if the desired name is available.
Lead Marketer Reveals Upcoming Offerings For Shib
The Shiba Inu lead marketer has also highlighted several upcoming updates for SHIB in 2024. Lucie disclosed this information to the community on the social media platform X.
She has noted offerings like Play-to-Earn (P2E) games, Shibahub, and Sheboshis as some of the things Shibizens can anticipate in 2024. She highlighted that there will soon be a reveal, thus work is being done to establish the Shib Metaverse.
Furthermore, Lucie has pointed out that the team’s goal is to take Shibarium “to rank among the top five blockchains” in the crypto space. “We will position ourselves not only to persist but to rank among the top 5 blockchains,” she stated.
So far, no timeframe has been provided by the lead marketer for when these plans might come to pass. When asked about a timeframe, she asserted that it will be launched “when it is all ready, as development never ends.”
