The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have made their first official look at celebrations for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee within the UK.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle joined different members of the royal household for a thanksgiving service in St Paul’s Cathedral in London, to mark the monarch’s seventieth anniversary on the throne.
Two high-profile figures have been lacking from the ceremony. The Queen introduced yesterday she could be withdrawing from the occasion after experiencing discomfort throughout Thursday’s celebrations, whereas her second son, Prince Andrew, had examined optimistic for Covid and would even be absent from the service.
The Queen was represented by her eldest son Prince Charles, who had delighted TV audiences along with his spouse, the Duchess of Cornwall, the earlier night, making a cameo look in long-running British cleaning soap EastEnders.
