The Premier League has confirmed the television schedule for the final round of games in November, with Liverpool’s trip to Manchester City set to kick off the weekend’s action.
Pep Guardiola’s Cityzens will host the Reds on Saturday 25 November at the Etihad after the last international break of the year. That game will be broadcast on Sky Sports, while Arsenal’s trip to Brentford – one they have made already in 2023/24 in a winning Carabao Cup effort – will be available live on TNT Sports.
Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur welcome Aston Villa to north London in the first of two games on Sky Sports on Sunday 26 November, with Everton vs Manchester United due to kick off at 16:30 BST.
Gameweek 13 concludes when Fulham battle Wolves at Craven Cottage on the Monday night.
Jurgen Klopp gave a prickly response back in September when asked about his Liverpool side’s record in early kick-offs after his players jetted to all corners of the globe to represent their countries.
He said: “We have four international breaks until March, and on two of them we have the 12.30pm kick-off. If I say one word about it again the whole world goes, ‘He’s starting to moan again,’ but it’s a joke – we have players in South America that I haven’t seen yet and we play in 24 hours. It’s a joke.”
The Daily Mail reported earlier on Friday the game between Man City and Liverpool would not be allowed to kick off at 17:30 BST due to ‘concerns over fan trouble’. The local safety advisory group cited incidents in previous games between the two clubs, including a Carabao Cup tie last December which saw a young fan struck by a pot weighted by coins.
