In July 2015, before being elected president, Donald Trump claimed that he was worth more than $10 billion.
After being elected president in 2016 and serving his four-year term, he ran for reelection in 2020, losing to Joe Biden. Trump never conceded his loss to Biden, saying the election had been stolen from him.
After four indictments resulting in 91 felony charges related to his 2020 election loss, Trump has now been asking his supporters to send donations to help pay for his legal bills.
If Trump is worth $10 billion dollars, why would he need money from others to pay his legal bills.
Somehow this does not pass the smell test.
