“Hello, I’m Robert Eggers, the author and director of “Nosferatu.” Nicholas Hoult is on a journey to Citadel Orlok, and he’s stopping in a Transylvanian village that we constructed within the Czech Republic exterior of Prague. We went to plenty of vernacular structure museums in Romania, in Transylvania, to review what we’d be constructing, and that is primarily based on all that. It was a really troublesome sequence to solid. Now we have Roma non-actors and Roma musicians and dancers from Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Romania. It was difficult to work with everybody talking a unique language, but in addition very fulfilling. These musicians are from Romania, so it was the girl who was simply clapping with the purple kerchief on. You will have observed, or possibly not, that that is all one shot. This sequence was very rigorously choreographed and rehearsed forward of time in a warehouse in Prague. After which we needed to deliver everybody right here and get it proper. And I feel we did about 30 takes of all of this. This man Radu, is a dancer who does type of conventional Roman dance mixed with hip hop. However right here he’s simply doing the standard factor. And this gentleman with the Golden tooth is Jordan Haj, a Czech pop star. Why are they laughing at him. Is it the hat or is it one thing else. However it definitely is supposed to make you’re feeling uneasy as an viewers member, as a result of he doesn’t know why they’re laughing at him.
