Hollywood Browns gets honest about leaving the Ravens

Hollywood Brown was interviewed by NFL broadcaster Bobby Trosset on Feb. 13. The wide receiver opened up about his decision to leave Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens in 2021.

“No, like I said, right there, mentally, I was checked out,” Brown said. “Maybe I’d have said something to coaches that probably rubbed the wrong way, me being young, but I wasn’t wrong. It’s just we didn’t have older guys in the room who were comfortable enough about speaking out.

“I could talk the way I talk to Lamar, I probably can’t talk to a coach like that. But for me, I have no regrets.”

Brown started 41 games and recorded 195 receptions for 2,361 yards and 21 touchdowns with the Ravens. His final season in Baltimore remains the best of his career, the only one he breached the 1000-receiving-yard mark.
