The six conservative members of the Supreme Court have formed and implemented the Nuremberg Sextet, a group specializing in “Gleichschaltung,” a German term that describes the complete conversion of a governmental system and its society into a totally different ideological system.
Thanks to the SCOTUS Sextet, we are well on our way to white Christian nationalization. Decades ago, it was called “Nazification,” and we may not be too far from turning that corner today.
We already have seen corporations empowered by Citizens United, book banning, personal health choices denied, voting rights impaired, affirmative action eliminated, equal rights denied. These are just a few of the rights enshrined in the Constitution. Is habeas corpus, free speech, press, assembly, or even the Constitution itself next? In Germany of the 1930s, it was the Jews and communists. In America today, it is people of color, Jews and the LBGTQ community.
The future of this country is in voters’ hands. The 2024 election may be the last opportunity to change the Supreme Court. The Judiciary Act of 2021, which would change the size and thus the composition of the Supreme Court, could move through the legislative process if the political composition of Congress is changed.
