Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the declined 0.22%.
The best performers of the session on the were IB Maroc Com SA (CSE:), which rose 5.08% or 3.00 points to trade at 62.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Miniere Touissit (CSE:) added 2.04% or 90.00 points to end at 4,493.00 and Bmce Bank (CSE:) was up 1.69% or 3.45 points to 207.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cartier Saada (CSE:), which fell 4.14% or 1.30 points to trade at 30.10 at the close. Fenie Brossette (CSE:) declined 3.90% or 11.90 points to end at 293.00 and Residences Dar Saada SA (CSE:) was down 3.37% or 4.95 points to 142.05.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 37 to 13 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in Miniere Touissit (CSE:) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.04% or 90.00 to 4,493.00.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 8.62% or 8.14 to $102.55 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 4.99% or 4.73 to hit $99.48 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.22% or 10.45 to trade at $4,787.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was unchanged 0.02% to 10.87, while USD/MAD unchanged 0.03% to 9.31.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 98.79.
