The corporate media clearly want Donald Trump to win the presidential election and will do all it can to effectuate this.
By co-opting into Trump’s reality show and covering and repeating him incessantly, they helped normalized lying, corruption, incompetency, boorish and unhinged behavior. If Trump ever left the stage, what would corporate media do? Their business model is Trump. They will actively or passively aid him in this election. Compare how Trump’s gaffes aren’t magnified nearly as much as President Joe Biden’s.
This is why I wish Biden would bow out. His legacy is rock solid right now. He served as senator, vice president and president, and is a genuinely decent human being. What a résumé. Why risk losing the election, and thereby risk America’s democracy? He has to know the media needs Trump as much as Trump needs the media, and that he will have to fight the media as much as Trump for the election.
