Lee's Summit Economic Development Council President Rick McDowell announces upcoming retirement

After nearly 40 years in economic development, Rick McDowell, president and CEO of the Lee’s Summit Economic Development Council, announced Tuesday that he will retire at the end of 2022.

McDowell first joined the LSEDC after working with the Missouri Department of Economic Development, the Columbia Regional Economic Development Inc., KPMG LLP, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and the Liberty Economic Development Council. He worked in employment at LSEDC for a few years before becoming the organization’s…
