Kelsey Gunn Befriends a Little Mouse in Strange ‘Little Jar’ Film Trailer

“We’re friends… right??” Good Deed Ent. has released an official trailer for a strange little indie film titled Little Jar, the second feature (after 3 Tickets to Paradise) made by filmmaker Dominic López. This first premiered at the 2022 Austin Film Festival last fall, and it also played at last year’s Whistler Film Festival and Paris Film Festival earlier this year. Ainsley is a misanthrope who hates people but when she suddenly finds herself in isolation with no one to talk to, she realizes how much she actually misses connection. Enter Ulysses – a dead mouse in a jar. With a little bit of loneliness, a pinch of imagination, and a mouse-sized tuxedo, Ulysses becomes her training wheels in this newly discovered world of friendship. Starring Kelsey Gunn, Nicholas Anthony Reid, Jon Snow, Anthony Ma, Jennifer DeFilippo, and Doug Hurley. This looks super silly and awkward and amusing, though I see what they’re trying to do with this funky film. It also holds true to the spirit of indie filmmaking – be bold, and tell your own quirky story in your own way.

Little Jar is directed by the freelance filmmaker Dominic López, director of the film 3 Tickets to Paradise previously, plus many short films and the “Grey Rabbit” TV series. The screenplay is written by Kelsey Gunn and Dominic López. It’s produced by Gunn, López, Tomm Jacobsen, Nicholas Anthony Reid, and Michael Rousselet. This initially premiered at the 2022 Austin & Whistler Film Festivals last year. Good Deed Ent. will debut López’s Little Jar direct-to-VOD in the US starting September 12th, 2023 coming soon.
