JinkoSolar (NYSE:JKS) said Wednesday it will supply 220K of its Tiger Neo bifacial solar modules to the 123 MW Verila solar plant in Bulgaria, the country’s largest PV project to date.
The modules are TOPCon N-type cells, which JinkoSolar (JKS) says have been shown to demonstrate the resilience and efficiency this technological platform enables.
Verila owner Eurohold Bulgaria has signed Bulgaria’s largest corporate power purchase agreement, to provide telecom companies Yettel and Cetin with electricity from the project over the next 10 years.
“The Verila project will become not only a Bulgarian benchmark, but also a pan-European one for renewable energy transition,” JinkoSolar (JKS) executive Frank Niendorf said, adding the project is one of the largest ever built in Europe using TOPCon bifacial modules.
