In quoting sports economist Victor Matheson, who wondered how much baseball people in Las Vegas would watch if the A’s built a stadium here, the Associated Press’ Mark Anderson opened up a good question (“A’s running out of time to find home in either Oakland or Las Vegas,” Jan. 27).
As we have seen with Allegiant Stadium, visiting teams’ fan bases are well represented, much to the dismay of locals. Plenty of folks pay high prices to attend those games.
Baseball in Vegas with the A’s? How great to see the local team and my favorite sluggers from other cities play here. What I need: no traffic jams or woes, affordable ticket prices for locals, and the LA Dodgers to lose.
Everyone is happy.
