House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., has vowed to investigate the Justice Department’s indictment of former President Donald Trump.
U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, says that Trump is being indicted for exposing documents that he had previously declassified. But Trump said on tape that he had not declassified them.
Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., calls the indictment simply an overreach by the Justice Department. He does that while lying about how Hillary Clinton’s emails were handled.
These are three Republicans who hold the highest of offices in the United States government. These three men show no respect for the rule of law, no respect for their own positions regarding Justice Department investigations and indictments, and no respect for the truth.
They have ignored their own oaths as senators and members of Congress, and should resign. They no longer show the integrity expected of their offices.
