Liberating killer in Russia prisoner swap ‘not simple resolution’: Germany

Berlin: Germany mentioned Thursday its launch of a convicted assassin in a prisoner swap with Russia was “not a straightforward resolution” and referred to as on Russia and Belarus to free all political detainees.

Russian citizen Vadim Krasikov was jailed for assassinating a former Chechen insurgent commander in Berlin in 2019.

German authorities spokesman Steffen Hebestreit mentioned the choice to ship him again to Russia had been knowledgeable by Berlin’s obligation in the direction of German residents and solidarity with the US.
