Everton have been renowned for a number of transfer disasters since the arrival of owner Farhad Moshiri six years ago, and now a new update has emerged on arguably one of the worst signings that the club have made.

What’s the latest?

According to Italian journalist Marco Guidi (via Calciomercato), Everton will “100 per cent” sell Moise Kean to Juventus.

Guidi revealed: “Kean will be redeemed by Juventus at 100%.”

Moshiri must end Everton’s nightmare

There is no doubt that Moshiri must finally end the Everton nightmare that has been Kean’s contract at Goodison Park and sanction the sale of the player as soon as possible.

The Toffees snapped up the rarely-seen Italian striker back in 2019 for £25.1m tying him into a five-year contract on Merseyside and to say it has been a disaster from start to finish is an understatement.

Over the last three years, Kean has made only 39 appearances for the Toffees, scoring four goals and registering two assists, averaging just 30 minutes per game, and has spent the rest of his time on loan.

Just over 12 months after joining Everton, Kean was sent on loan to Paris Saint-Germain where he scored 17 goals, before being sent back to his former club Juventus on a two-year loan, scoring 19 goals so far, and has been in the Serie A ever since.

The 22-year-old liability – who was hailed “useless” by journalist Tancredi Palmeri – has had a turbulent time in Italy, with reports this summer that his loan club were desperate to avoid permanently signing the striker, however, it is now looking like Moshiri will be able to finally get rid of the player.

Not only will the club be able to cut ties with the player but it is reported that the final sale would amount to €38m (£33m) which would be an absolute transfer masterclass from the club with a profit of around £8m on their initial fee.

With that being said, although the signing of Kean will be a regretful decision for Moshiri it would be a great piece of business if they can eventually profit from his sale to Juventus in the coming months.
