Spread your wings and go for a getaway this winter season. Leave the cold behind and head for warm, sandy beaches on the beautiful islands of Hawaii.
The Hawaiian islands and culture have been an integral part of Cariloha’s roots and inspiration since 2007. The Aloha spirit has always been close to our hearts, and it’s a vibe we’ve endeavored to portray in all our showrooms and products, so you can enjoy that relaxing spirit wherever the wind takes you.
On this edition of Cariloha’s inside scoop, we’re headed to the beautiful island of Oahu, also known as the “Heart of Hawaii,” where you’ll find Cariloha showrooms in Waikiki and Kailua – all our locations serve as great information centers, where our friendly staff is happy to answer any questions you may have about places to eat, surf, visit, etc.
Oahu is an island that has something for everyone, from beaches and hiking to museums and restaurants. No matter your interests, Oahu will have something for you.
Before you book your trip, let’s look at the top things to do while you’re there:
Pearl Harbor
This popular, historic attraction offers so much to do and see that you’ll need an entire day just to fit it all in. To make sure you see it all, book a “Complete Pearl Harbor Tour Experience,” where a knowledgeable tour guide will take you around the entire national park to see the USS Arizona Memorial, USS Bowfin, USS Oklahoma Memorial, USS Missouri Battleship Museum, the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum’s hangars, and an incredible amount of the Pearl Harbor shoreline.
Make sure to book your tickets ahead of time, as Pearl Harbor is one of Oahu’s most popular tourist destinations.
North Shore
Stretching for more than 7 miles along the north coastline of Oahu lives the North Shore. Home to beautiful stretches of beach and some of the biggest waves and surfing events in the world.
During the peak winter months (November – December), the North Shore hosts premier surfing competitions. It’s a great time to see the pros in action but, if you’re wanting to enjoy the waves, visit from May to September. During this time, the big waves have subsided, making the North Shore atmosphere a little more beginner friendly.
While surfing is a big draw for visitors, there are many other things you can do along the North Shore. Shopping, dining, hiking, and so much more, there’s something for everyone to experience and enjoy.
Polynesian Cultural Center
As you explore the North Shore, you’ll discover the Polynesian Cultural Center, an amazing 42 acres of Polynesian wonders that are waiting for you to experience.
Here, you’ll learn about and engage in the island cultures of Polynesia. You’ll get to encounter and interact with six different island nations and learn all about their heritage and culture.
From dining and shopping, to live entertainment and interactive games (hula dancing, hat making), the Polynesian Cultural Center is like nothing you’ve ever experienced.
The PCC is one of Oahu’s most popular attractions so make sure you book your trip in advance, so you can enjoy all the center has to offer.
These are just a few of all the amazing things Oahu has to offer. There’s an abundance of sites and adventures for everyone to experience and enjoy.
