Ecopetrol (NYSE:EC) said Friday it appointed current COO Alberto Consuegra as its interim CEO, succeeding Felipe Bayon, who has said he will step down at the end of the month after more than five years in the top job.
Consuegra has 30 years of experience in the energy sector and joined Ecopetrol (EC) in 2016 as VP of supply and services.
He will take over from Bayon on April 1 and remain in the post until a successor is named, the Colombian company said.
Ecopetrol (EC) stock is “a steal at 3.3x earnings with 22% dividend yield,” Ian Bezek writes in an analysis published recently on Seeking Alpha.
