Danny Glover is Santa in Disney’s Comedy ‘The Naughty Nine’ Teaser

“Santa! We’ve got a situation!” Disney has revealed an official trailer for The Naughty Nine, a Christmas comedy streaming in November in time for the holidays. “Get ready for the heist! This year they’re coming to Santa’s town!” When Andy finds out he’s on Santa’s “naughty list” waking up on Christmas morning, he pulls together a group of “naughty list” kids to get the presents they think they deserve. They decide to head up to the North Pole to pull off a heist of some kind, putting together a team like Ocean’s Eleven. Sounds like they’re doing even naughtier things to get off the naughty list? Or is it just some accounting error that put them on there to begin with? The main cast features Winslow Fegley, Camila Rodriguez, Madilyn Kellam, Anthony Joo, Imogen Cohen, Deric McCabe, Ayden Elijah, and Leonidas Castrounis, with Danny Glover as Santa Claus. Yeah this looks super mega cheesy but also kind of fun. Maybe. Or not.

5th grader Andy (Winslow Fegley) has been a bit of a troublemaker this year. When Christmas morning arrives and Andy gets stiffed by Santa, he realizes he’s on the Naughty List. Feeling unfairly maligned, Andy pulls together a crack team of fellow naughty listers to pull off an elaborate heist in the North Pole to get the presents that Andy and the others feel they deserve. In the process of finding their gifts, the gang discovers that the spirit of Christmas is more about giving than taking, and decide to face Santa and do the right thing. The Naughty Nine is directed by Mexican filmmaker Alberto Belli, of the film Gatlopp previously, plus the Upload TV series, and tons of other short films. The screenplay is written by Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas. Produced by Jim Kontos. Disney will debut The Naughty Nine movie starting on Disney Channel on November 22nd, then streaming on Disney+ on November 23rd, 2023 this holiday season.
