Crow Holdings Development has secured a 188,000-square-foot long-term lease at its recently completed Crow Holdings at Carteret industrial campus in Carteret, N.J. Hong Kong-based Weida Freight System Inc. will be the first tenant at the 1.2 million-square-foot campus.
Cushman & Wakefield is leading leasing efforts at the campus and has negotiated on behalf of the landlord. Avison Young represented the tenant. The deal marks Weida Freight System’s second warehouse in New Jersey and its eighth in the U.S.
Crow Holdings at Carteret is a three-building industrial park composed of:
- The 479,000-square-foot Building A at 500 Salt Meadow Road, that includes two drive-in doors, 76 dock doors, 255 vehicle parking spots and 70 trailer parking spots.
- The 334,620-square-foot Building B at 400 Salt Meadow Road, that features 20 dock doors, one drive-in door, 156 vehicle parking spots and 14 trailer parking spots.
- The 355,100-square-foot Building C at 300 Salt Meadow Road, equipped with two drive-in doors, 50 dock doors, 164 vehicle parking spots and 35 trailer parking spots.

All three buildings also include 40-foot clear heights, pre-built offices, 66-foot speed bays each and an additional parking space with 161 trailer parking spots. Crow Holdings at Carteret is a 70-acre property, close to Interstate 95 and 8 miles from Newark Liberty International Airport, 13 miles from Port Newark-Elizabeth Marine Terminal and within 29 miles of George Washington Bridge.
Weida Freight System Inc. will be located at Building B, where 146,355 square feet of space remain available for lease, along with the additional two buildings that are ready for occupancy. Cushman & Wakefield’s team of Vice Chairmen Jules Nissim and Stan Danzig, together with Senior Director Kimberly Bach represented Crow Holdings Development. Avison Young’s Senior Vice President Jimo Liu worked on behalf of the tenant.

Earlier this month, ReadySpaces signed a full-building lease in Mount Vernon, N.Y. The warehouse storage provider will occupy a 110,300-square-foot industrial building owned by Simone Development Cos. Meanwhile, the same owner purchased a vacant property in New York City’s Bronx borough. The former retail site will be converted into a 186,298-square-foot logistics center, a new facility that will be adjacent to Simone Development Cos.’ existing 1.4 million-square-foot Hutchinson Metro Center. Cushman & Wakefield has been tapped as the project’s exclusive leasing agent.
