Chendall Weaver’s No. 11 seed Texas beat No. 11 seed NC State 68-66 in the First Four of the NCAA Tournament on Tuesday. With the win, the Longhorns made it to the Round of 64 in March Madness.

However, fans had some wild reactions to Texas’ narrow win over the Wolfpack, with Weaver getting his first career double-double.

“Let him handle the ball. Jordan pope blows,” another added.

“Was definitely wanting to see a good game, but man, this would be a brutal meltdown,” a third commented.

Weaver recorded 11 points, 10 rebounds and an assist. He was the third-highest scorer for the Longhorns, behind Tramon Mark (17 points) and Matas Vokietaitis (15 points).

Chendall Weaver’s Texas (19-14) will face No. 6 seed BYU in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament on Thursday. The game will tip off at 4:25 p.m. ET from Moda Center in Portland, Oregon.

The Longhorns are the underdogs for their next fixture in March Madness. They will need to keep AJ Dybantsa in check if they want to advance to the next round of the NCAA Tournament.
