As I said last week, we are in the middle of the season, where some fantastic battles keep peppering the schedule. Last week was simply amazing, and there were outstanding performances all over the country and some tight games. This week we are treated to more of the same.
We have five games between two ranked teams, and all are huge indicators of how this season will end up. Alabama tries to get the bad taste of the Tennessee loss out of their mouths by hosting Mississippi State. That’s a must-win for the Tide if they want to keep their national championship hopes alive. Syracuse travels to Clemson for a battle of ACC unbeatens. UCLA gets to show us if they are for real when they head up to Oregon. The loser of Texas-Oklahoma State will find themselves with a tough hill to climb to get to the Big 12 title game. Speaking of the Big 12, Kansas State and TCU are the top two teams in the standings and will face off in Ft. Worth.
What will we have in store for Week 8? Well, here are the players to watch.
