HOUSTON (Reuters) – The United Steelworkers union (USW) on Thursday afternoon signed a tentative settlement to finish a nine-week-old strike at Chevron Corp (NYSE:)’s Richmond, California, refinery, the corporate and union mentioned.
Phrases weren’t instantly obtainable for the tentative settlement, which is topic to ratification by members of USW Native 12-5 representing the five hundred staff who walked off their jobs on March 21, the 2 sides mentioned.
Employees will vote on the contract over the weekend, with outcomes anticipated by 12:01 a.m. PDT (0701 GMT) on Monday, based on a joint assertion for each side supplied by Chevron spokesperson Tyler Kruzich.
