The Swedish-born man was left to die by the attackers and was found in a critical condition two days after disappearing.

He was rushed to hospital – but tragically died on Wednesday after medics battled to save him.

The man had a British passport and lived and worked in the town of Ashford in Kent, according to reports.

His body is now at Medellin’s Forensic Medicine Institute.

The man is understood to have been on holiday when he was killed.

He was found at the bottom of a drop near the top of the hill where he is thought to have been attacked.

He reportedly managed to tell medics he had been mugged by three men who stole all his belongings before he was raced to hospital.

The hike to the Hill of Three Crosses offers breathtaking views of the city of Medellin.

No arrests have been made yet over the Brit’s death.

Police chief Henry Yesid Bello reportedly said detectives have a lead on the suspects.
