WASHINGTON (Reuters) – A bunch representing main automakers on Friday stated it filed lawsuit to dam a landmark rule from the administration of President Joe Biden requiring almost all new vehicles and vehicles by 2029 to have superior automated emergency braking programs.
The Alliance for Automotive Innovation, representing Common Motors (NYSE:), Toyota Motor (NYSE:), Volkswagen (ETR:) and different automakers, stated the rule finalized in April by the Nationwide Freeway Visitors Security Administration is “virtually not possible with out there know-how.” The group requested the U.S. Court docket of Appeals for the District of Columbia to overturn the rule.
