Aubrey Plaza is set to make her debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as it’s been reported that she’s set to join Kathryn Hahn in the upcoming Agatha: Coven of Chaos series for Disney+.
Agatha: Coven of Chaos is a spinoff of WandaVision which will find Kathryn Hahn reprising the role of Agatha Harkness, a powerful witch who masqueraded as Wanda’s nosy neighbour. As is typical with Marvel news, it’s not known who Aubrey Plaza will play in Agatha: Coven of Chaos, but it’s exciting to have her onboard nonetheless. This isn’t the only Agatha: Coven of Chaos casting news we’ve had recently, as it was announced just yesterday that Heartstopper star Joe Locke had signed on. As with Plaza, it’s not clear who Locke will be playing in the Marvel series.
Jac Schaefer, the creator, writer, and executive producer of WandaVision will be serving the same role for Agatha: Coven of Chaos, and it’s expected that she will do the same for the other WandaVision spinoff series, Vision Quest. The potential series would focus on The Vision (Paul Bettany) as he attempts to regain his memory and humanity after the events of WandaVision. It’s also been said that there’s a chance that Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) might appear in the series, but nothing has been confirmed.
Aubrey Plaza can currently be seen starring in the second season of The White Lotus.
