Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly known as Prince Andrew, continues to be a royal pain for his family!
As we previously reported, the former Duke of York was arrested on Thursday, the day of his 66th birthday, on suspicion of misconduct in public office. The arrest came weeks after the US Department of Justice released more documents from the Epstein files, which revealed Andrew allegedly shared confidential information with the late convicted pedophile, Jeffrey Epstein, while serving as the UK’s Special Representative for International Trade and Investment between 2001 and 2011.

Trade envoys are supposed to keep everything under wraps, even when they are no longer in the role, so Andrew allegedly royally effed up! And if convicted, he could face a maximum sentence of life in prison. Whoa. Andrew may not be the only one suffering consequences from his own actions, though. He may have caused massive problems for the royal family now, too!
Royal author, Andrew Lownie warned Page Six on Thursday that the arrest could mark the beginning of the end of the monarchy if the royals don’t play their cards right from here on out! He stressed that King Charles, Prince William, Princess Catherine, and the rest of the family need to show the public they’re cooperating with the police and handing over any relevant information if they hope to come out of this in one piece:
“I think problems will arise if information emerges that Charles was covering up the story for years and only acting now. I think there will be problems.”
The public would freak, rightly so! Lownie added that the royals must “monitor public opinion and the media” moving forward.
Well, Charles seems to be doing an OK so far. The monarch gave no sympathy to Andrew following the arrest, which is a step in the right direction at least. Thoughts, Perezcious readers? Let us know in the comments.
